A Kid at Heart

I hate updating my photos on Facebook, my blog and wherever else I make an appearance. For one thing, I keep getting absurdly older everyday. Let’s just say that the previous photo is always better than the most recent shot. But since I got my hair cut quite a bit shorter, I figure in all…
Fungi Taking advantage Of a weak spot Breaking it down And destroying The very thing it needs
When I recently complained about being stuck in my progress in physical therapy, my orthopedist said, “You’re only thinking about what you can’t do, not about what you can do.” He’s right, damn it. When I have a hurdle to get over, like my shoulder, I want to believe everything will be better once I…
So many memories put away. Need to go through them. No, not today. My Mom’s china, My son’s artwork and toys, Just start sorting through it, One of life’s little joys. Pieces that remind me where I’ve been. Memories of things I thought I’d never go through again. I take another look At the piles…
I’m trying a new thing. Perspective Poetry I started out with this observation on my way to work. Road spray Dirt blackened snow A scenic drive Ugh, not so great, but a bit comical. Poets and Writers magazine tweeted that I should flip through a dictionary and randomly choose ten words. Then write a poem…
I hang from a thread Entwined in a web Swinging left to right Reverse again and again Dark to light And light to dark Back and forth Up and down Settling, settling Around and around Hang in the air It will be found You know it’s true As truth can be Root to root And…

Got another plate??? It looks delicious!!!
I’ve often said, “I’m like Peter Pan and will never grow up!” I’ve always surrounded myself with children…teachin’, Sunday School, Kid’s Church and eight grands…I don’t have to grow up!!! Heeehehehe!!
I adore both the picture and the beautiful poem sweetie.
Have yourself a perfectly blessed day my ‘kid’ sister!!! :o)
I just ordered 2 mushroom boxes! One for us and one for our daughter. This is such a fun idea. Thanks!
I have never heard of such a thing! Very cool! Mother Earth Maery:-)
I HAVE to order these! Were they on 60 minutes? (what a great idea, glad they made a buddle…and from coffee grounds…who knew, they should put these guys in charge of world hunger )
They look beautiful too! Stunning enough to put anywhere.
(and I hope we never reach that point either) Great poem Maery!
Beautiful poem! I was at our local health food store looking at that exact mushroom kit two days ago. I think that I may have to go back and get one!
Oh my! I never knew mushrooms could look so beautiful…kind of like Calla Lilies!
We don’t have mushrooms here…just not enough humidity and moisture and way too much sunlight to grow them.
I’m not a huge fan of eating mushrooms…they taste like dirt to me. lol! But this would be a fun project to do with my kids. I bet my chickens would eat them afterwards.
Fun!
And I like your poem, too!
