My Puppy Has a Record
That’s right. My sweet, perfect, little Latte was written up at Doggie Daycare last Friday for being a “bit vocal”. Oh, the shame of it. Doggie delinquency at such a young age.

Finally! A real Minnesota blizzard! I’ve missed these things. Fortunately, I bought a new toy last weekend, a power shovel, in an attempt to save my shoulders and back. It may look little, but it works pretty darn slick, like a snowblower but small enough to do stairs and decks. I can’t take credit for…
Okay. This is my first attempt at adding video to my blog. Be patient with me. I don’t quite get the editing yet. I wanted to do certain portions slow motion but could not get the effects editor to open, no matter how many times I watched the video that showed me how it’s supposed…
Thanks for all the birthday wishes! As part of my birthday celebration, I saw a show called “Wits” put on by MPR on Friday night. The performers included comedian Patton Oswalt and musician Grant Lee Phillips (who performed with REM and Pearl Jam, but is best known to me as Stars Hollows Troubadour on Gilmore…
Okay. I’ve been rewriting this blog post all week because it keeps sounding too negative and depressing. I think a lot of what I’m thinking and feeling comes from aging and feeling all the possibilities move out of reach in so many areas of my life. It’s hardest at work, where most people are younger…
Above all the other reasons, I write because the world is both heartbreakingly sad and hearbreakingly joyful, and the only way for me to bear the pain, the only way for me to bear the world’s bright beauty is to catch it up like a giggling baby and to set it down in front of…
I’m a bit beat but I am still making a diligent effort to get my poem a day done. It’s amazing how tired sitting and listening to people show and tell can be, no matter how interesting the topic is to you. I went to a Home Landscaping and Garden Fair put on by the…

I think she’s been railroaded! Clearly she’s an angel. They’ve got the wrong dog.
🙂
If you need someone to take the stand in her defense, I’ll be there:-) At least she’s a juvie, so her record will be erased eventually. I’d write to Obama and she if he could grant a pardon.
Hahaha-great post Maery!!! Made me giggle! CLEARLY poor Latte is misunderstood!
Xoxoxo
Sue and the crew
LOL! She is simply vocal in her efforts to say hello to everyone! Such adorable shots.
Definitely misunderstood…they should see your pictures, especially the ones with Shy.
Sweet Latte!
I have to agree, totally misunderstood! Latte is just too cute to get in any kind of trouble, right?
They must have been mistaken~
That is the same thing that I keep telling folks about Zippy…just misunderstood. Poor little Latte….I bet she was embarrassed to have gotten that note. I love the picture of her with Shy!
Oh, boy. If a sweet baby like Latte is considered “vocal,” I cringe to think what they would say about Lilly … who truly cannot play without making noise.
P.S. Those pix of her with the kitty are just too sweet.
I think perhaps they are mistaken..but it is nice that they give you reports:)
OMG. I think someone else must be too jealous and just needs to pick a fight with you. HA! What a cutie-pie!
Oh Noo! You can have her record “exspunged” eventually..when she’s 18…how old is that in dog years?
To all – It appears that Latte’s juvenile record is still clean. This was just her first warning. I’ve been having talks with her all weekend about using her indoor voice at daycare.
Ginnie – Thanks for stopping by! “Vision and Verb” has been quite a find and now I found your blog and will have to take a leisurely stroll through the Netherlands. Beautiful!
OMG this whole post is adorable!
