Summerizing
I worked from home today. Hard to concentrate at times because I keep noticing loose hair on Java that obsessively have to pull out.

Saturday, I went to see a few friends ride in a mountain bike race. It was more of a fun race than a serious race (except to some bikers who just can’t help themselves), complete with Halloween costumes. We never quite grow up do we? Zooming around on bikes… wearing costumes… what could be better?…
Aren’t they cute?! I can’t wait to start collecting their rich little poopings! If you look at the worms under a microscope, they look like this: I think it takes six months before you actually get anything “out” of them but I figure with all the coffee grounds they’ll be chugging, they will be more…
The kennel saga continues. Finally got the chain link fence laid out flat. It was a tangled mess. What was the manufacturer thinking folding it up upon itself with no burlap or something in between to prevent the links from hooking on each other? But beyond the idiocy of that, the links are…
No matter how cute it is, DO NOT buy your dog a squeaky toy! I know you think your little buddy will have so much fun with it, and it will be so entertaining to watch them figure out that the toy squeaks and see their reaction and everything. And it is adorable — for about 15 minutes. Then,…
I love digging my hands into dirt. Breaking up rich, sticky clumps and pushing through the top layers to make room for a new plant, I feel connected to earth, sun, and seasons. I find it miraculous that a teeny-tiny seed when planted and nurtured becomes a plant that produces food.
April is just about over. Only one more poem to go after this one. Although it’s been quite the challenge, I’ve had fun so I think I’ll still throw poems into my posts, maybe once a week. The month of May I’m declaring as Focus on Healthy Habits month. Yee Haw! Doesn’t that sound fun!…

Bugs are so miserable. The fly predators we have been using have helped so much! We have a fly or two around, but nothing like before! It is amazing how the predators really work!
I hope you find something that helps, I hated seeing my horses with the bites all over them!
Java is a silly girl, love how she piles all her toys up! Very cute!
Gnats are the absolute grossest! Well, ticks are a little grosser, and deer flies the most disturbingly persistent, but the way gnats drill a hole into you and chow down is really disgusting. Poor horsies! : /
we get bees here… DH got bucked off coupla years ago when a bee got in whistler’s proverbial bonnet..
sit down and ride

Ouch…so many bites! That is the cutest photo of Java!
Ah, I am an obsessive tuft puller, too! L is the only dog I have ever had who gets little tufts that must be pulled out. I catch myself following him around trying to snatch tufts of fur off his backside. I don’t think he appreciates it, but I can’t help myself!
