Just a Few Hurdles

After riding for an hour, I went back to the trailer to warm and unstiffen up a bit. Luke and I shared a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and oatmeal cookie. He really like the sandwich! Not so much the cookie.

Crazy, busy day. I’m never ready for Christmas and this year is no different. I wrote my Christmas cards last night and wrapped a present for my son, so the key thing to get done today was make a trip to the post office. I was dreading that, knowing how busy it would be. So…
I’m a hug and kiss in the morning girl. I’m a spoon in bed smell his neck at night and know the world is okay kind of lady. I’m a sleep with my nose buried in his t-shirt for a month after he leaves kind of wife. I’m taking this one-gal-act offline for awhile. I…
I’m still struggling with having things go wrong on what feels like an hourly basis. Not big things, but just little frustrations, like having the prescription reimbursement form in my hand, going to find an envelope, finding the envelope, but then somewhere along the way, I laid down the paperwork, and now I can’t find…
It was a gorgeous weekend — sunny and temps in the mid to upper 30s. The horses were looking longingly out into the pasture so I let them out for a romp and captured it on video. I had a heck of a time figuring out how to block out the video sound and add…
Confusion and chaos are signs of the old structures of life breaking down so that something new can emerge. There is nothing inherently unspiritual in feeling confused. In fact, growth may not be possible without periods of chaos. ~ Mark Thurston Yesterday, Tuesday, was a heck of a day. But never mind. Deep breath and…

You are really learning a lot…I’m just sorry the lessons are hard ones…at least they look that way to me. You are pretty tough girrl!
I love going to the park to see all the dogs and their people. And the eagle…what a bonus!
You are a VERY tough cookie…and so independent these days. I give you lots of credit. Turned out to be a good day after all.
A great day! You overcame some setbacks that would have defeated many people (injury, Java running off, trailer) but went out and enjoyed your trails anyway.
The bald eagle flyby sounds really cool!
Sounds like you had a great day, even with the trailer mishap, I am so proud of you and how you were able to handle it!!
I love the pictures of Java looking outside, she is so cute!
I was beginning to think I was the only one with mud, but I see you are dealing with it too! I hate what rain does, especially when horses are involved. Yuck.
definitely a kiss me o radiant sun (Son) day for you:)
amen

So glad you got to enjoy the sunshine. We had it grace us about half the day today.
Have a great week!!!
Sounds nice, despite the frustrations early on.
A few less hurdles would be nice. Especially with the bum leg.
Hope your knee is better.. you had a bad morning..but hey the afternoon sounded great! There are lots of things you can learn to do! I think you should find some sweet guy who loves horses and dogs and cook for him..but short of taking out an ad in the paper..I have no idea how you will meet that guy..although we have a couple of bachelors up here that would qualify! 🙂
