Busyness and Books
Last Friday, I took a post New Years vacation day and rode Luke in the morning. We had a good indoor arena ride, out of the wind and off the frozen, icy ground.
Dogs can be teachers, guides, and similar to children in how they test us and show us a world we might otherwise pass through unaware.

Working long hours has left me feeling scattered. I’ve been unable to get back on course with my old routine (I do believe I had one, but I might be wrong).
Every dog I’ve ever known has represented an era of change and growth for me that I’m not sure I would have come through quite the same way without them.
I came home from work yesterday and crumbled into a boneless heap. So I’ll have to share the story I was going to create about Wild Women (yesterday’s post) tomorrow. (I’m being optimistic that today will be a better day)
I didn’t post yesterday as I spent most of the day outside with dogs and fat tire bike and horseback riding, taking advantage of a windless, winter day before the arctic blast of today. Today will be a housecleaning and writing day. But, oh, yesterday…
