Woman on a Journey

Dreams

trees

Walking down the sidewalk
Plastic cup of whisky in my hand
“This is illegal,” I think
I’m a good girl
I don’t do things like this
But there’s no place to sit
Tip the cup up
And drain the whisky
In one – two – three
Gulps

Trying to find my way home
Carrying my Mini under my arm
My Mini is even more mini
Finally decide my route
But my Mini is too small to fit in to
And one of the wheels is broken
I aks my Mini,
“Why didn’t you tell me you
needed a new wheel?”
Mini said,
“I didn’t want to bother you,
You were so busy.”
My Mini is very considerate

So I have to take
A magic carpet ride
To get home
The magic carpet
Is an alligator hide
My son was there too
But can’t remember why

Sweet dreams?
