Maery Katherine Rose

I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity. — Gilda Radner -actress and comedian (1946-1989)

If you haven’t noticed, I haven’t been posting as often. It’s that spring cleanup time of year. Time to clean up manure, switch out potting soil, pull out the summer wardrobe and figure out what you want to get rid of and what new stuff you can’t do without. It’s also time to clean and oil up tack, check out the trailer, get the bucks out of the horses, and weed wack my legs to prepare for shorts weather.

All that busyness, plus trying to outline my story and carve out time for writing, hasn’t left much time for posting and following others’ posts. So what do I do? I try to figure out Twitter. Always trying to learn something new and see if it’s a good way to connect with fellow writers. So if you Tweet, I’m cowgirlbyproxy there too.

I am legally Maery Katherine Rose now. A few friends and I are hoping to have a coming out party for me. I don’t like to refer to it as “a new beginning” or anything like that as I’m hanging tight to my experiences and everything I’ve learned from them. I would say that this will be more of a celebration of change.

As Gilda said in the quote above, we all want the perfect ending. Or perhaps, better yet, no ending at all. But there aren’t any clear beginnings or endings. I agree, ambiguity is delicious.
