I like to believe there are messengers and teachers sent to us in human or animal form when we need them.
We had plans to drive to a trailhead for a hike to Ramona Falls before we had to get the grooms dinner. The hike was seven miles round trip and had an elevation climb of 1000 feet. We only saw a few people there so it was the right hike for me.
Life often feels like an endurance test. Maybe that’s not a bad thing. I have dreamed of doing endurance riding. Maybe just look at it that way – the challenge, the training, building my strength, learning when to speed up and when to take it slow, knowing how to maneuver through obstacles, to come back…
Can you say OUCH!? After the doctor got done cranking on my arm in every direction feasible this morning and some that weren’t feasible, my shoulder is feeling so much worse than it was. Whine, whine, whine… It’s a rotator cuff issue. Now I have to make an appointment for physical therapy. If that doesn’t…
I have cross country skis!Well, first off, I have to confess that I unexpectedly took today off. I was going to go to work really early this morning because I had a hair cut appointment this afternoon but I knew I had too many things on my mind to be productive at work, whereas I…
I have started to write. And this has meant going back through old blog posts and journals, looking at the journey I’ve been on. Much of it is not too pleasant to remember. But I think it’s important to look at the story from the perspective I have now and allow the story or poetry…

I like the sound of upbeatness that keeps shining through in this post and the previous one.
And, it sure looks like taking care of horses (and their manure) is a big job!
Wow Mary, it looks FANFREAKINTASTIC!!! And I like the new tude your sportin too!
Hey Mary! I am impressed! Your paddocks look beautiful, you have great company, the frig is full and having your sense of confidence become stronger is a good sign. Things are going to work out.
Thanks for all your comments. The two grey horses…that’s a postcard I had made.
The one on the left was mine (Marieke-put down at 19 for colic) and the other is her full brother (Hollander-an eventer). Anglo-Trakehners and beautiful creatures.
Berlin, the horse I ride the most (24) is her daughter.

That was a huge job! Lucky you to have the help and support, everything looks great!
Yes. The help was awesome! My sister and brother-in-law helped me get the place to a point I can somewhat manage and keep up with on my own. They also got me going on starting to sort through a life-time accumulation of stuff. They got me past being stuck in overwhelm mode. My family certainly blesses my life.
GP – Yes, definitely being strengthened and carried through this.
