My friend Lynn is doing a 10 day writing challenge, while I am on the third day of my “however long it takes” manure scoop-along. Anyone want to join me? I’ll spare you more poop photos, but I finished along the side of the barn and the corner alongside the run-in. And right now…
Meredith: “After a trauma, your body is at its most vulnerable. Response time is critical. So you’re suddenly surrounded by people—doctors, nurses, specialists, technicians—surgery is a team sport. Everyone pushing for the finish line. Putting you back together again. But surgery is a trauma in and of itself, and once it’s over, the real healing…
My furnace blower stopped working last night. I got it going again a couple times by manually spinning the blower fan, and then turning the furnace back on again. This was repeated everytime the fan tried to turn back on (often). Sure I could have left the fan on but what fun would that have…
Today I attended a winter seminar that the local veterinary office puts on every year to cover various horse topics.
It was such a lovely weekend, in comparison to the cloudy, cold, rainy days we’ve been having. We in Minnesota at times are like cave dwellers. We get so excited about seeing the sun. I took Java for a walk Saturday morning. Taking a walk seemed like the right thing to do to get myself…

I like the sound of upbeatness that keeps shining through in this post and the previous one.
And, it sure looks like taking care of horses (and their manure) is a big job!
Wow Mary, it looks FANFREAKINTASTIC!!! And I like the new tude your sportin too!
Hey Mary! I am impressed! Your paddocks look beautiful, you have great company, the frig is full and having your sense of confidence become stronger is a good sign. Things are going to work out.
Thanks for all your comments. The two grey horses…that’s a postcard I had made.
The one on the left was mine (Marieke-put down at 19 for colic) and the other is her full brother (Hollander-an eventer). Anglo-Trakehners and beautiful creatures.
Berlin, the horse I ride the most (24) is her daughter.
That was a lot of hard work.. the paddocks look great! I wish I had family who would help with the paddocks!!

That was a huge job! Lucky you to have the help and support, everything looks great!
Yes. The help was awesome! My sister and brother-in-law helped me get the place to a point I can somewhat manage and keep up with on my own. They also got me going on starting to sort through a life-time accumulation of stuff. They got me past being stuck in overwhelm mode. My family certainly blesses my life.
GP – Yes, definitely being strengthened and carried through this.
