A Raucous 4th
I went to my Aunt’s cabin for the 4th of July. My Aunt, cousin A, her husband, and a few of the grandkids were there.
And of course with the music, you had to have some dancing.

Well it’s the first day of December. Where are my 50,000 words for NaNoWriMo? Nowhere. Okay, so I did 19,927 words before fear and gloom won out. Again. I feel like a football player who’s had 10 players pile on top of him after the tackle. Someone please throw a flag! And get that darn…
This needs to be brief. Yeah, good luck with that. I’ve almost got through cleaning my house but still have my bedroom and bathroom to go and it’s getting late. But first I have to share a miracle. Granted, Shy and Latte have left a good deal of space between themselves, but still, truly a switch…
Oh my Lord. I can barely see the computer screen I’m so tired! I found hay but then I was worried about depending on 100 bales of hay from someone I’ve never bought from before. So I worked at home this morning for awhile, then drove out to look at the hay. The guy was…
That’s the sun behind that cloud. And it actually came out for long periods of time today. After I got home from church, had lunch and threw my sheets in the washer, I took Java for a walk around the neighborhood. Melted snow and rain has filled up wetland areas. Farmer fields are covered with…
I cannot know what this time, this circumstance, a loss, a gain is going to mean to the entirety of my life. Why do I waste so much time resisting my circumstances instead of looking with eyes that see neither negative or positive but just go ahead and live each moment as though it is…
I worked from home today. Hard to concentrate at times because I keep noticing loose hair on Java that obsessively have to pull out. But working at home is nice because there is no drive time so once I’m done working, I can get some stuff done. I went to a greenhouse a couple miles…

Amazing! A boat parade…looks like a wonderful time. Your pictures turned out great.
Wow, the boats are really something…looks like good times!!!
Those are some seriously cool boats! That looks like so much fun. The water balloon fight sounds like a blast! We would do that when we go river rafting. Sure helps to cool down on a hot day!
Glad the horses made it through ok! Mine get pretty freaked out. But we stay home to keep an eye on them.
I grew up on a lake and loved it, but the boat parades were not that unique! Looks like a fun place.
OMG– I’m so jealous! That’s the most awesome 4th EVER! (Giving me ideas for the floatilla next year!)
The boats were a lot of fun this year. It seemed like the water fights were a lot more ingenious this year.
Sue – I’m wondering if your planning on using some of the boat decor or incorporating the water cannons into the floatilla. It’s a good way to cool off. Unfortunately, the paper mache fish hats and hollywood glamorama would not hold up so different costumes would be in order.
