Summerizing
I worked from home today. Hard to concentrate at times because I keep noticing loose hair on Java that obsessively have to pull out.

How exciting! I saw the sun today! I am so happy!!! The day started out at 27 degrees and it was dark when I cleaned stalls and fed the horses. Java checked out the fresh mud. The sun was peeking out as I hung out the laundry. I tried to capture the steam coming off…
The world is mud-luscious and puddle-wonderful. — E.E. Cummings, poet (1894-1962) Such crazy weather this summer — lots of rain, sticky hot, then shiveringly cool, knock-you-over winds that come out of nowhere, then sunshine, blue skies and peace. Here’s a sample of clouds from last Thursday where the weather wasn’t quite sure what it wanted…
Latte hurt her leg doing something yesterday so today became a day to try and keep Latte subdued and catch up on some of my errands. I took the Brew Babes (my new nickname for the pooches) to Petsmart. I think they should add a fitting room to their stores. My girls were very relaxed…
Okay, I’m warning you — lots of picture. We got more snow and it produced many photo opportunities. It didn’t start out so lovely — snow blowing and stair shoveling = not fun. But it turned out okay. Although, as I sit here with my aching shoulders and back, I’m considering one of those power…
Throughout most of the Spring and Summer we didn’t get any rain and now it’s like it won’t stop. Our pool is almost overflowing. But no weather fazes Java. It looks like she’s doing some sort of celebratory rumba. I wish I could be more like Java. I’ve been told by more than one person…

Bugs are so miserable. The fly predators we have been using have helped so much! We have a fly or two around, but nothing like before! It is amazing how the predators really work!
I hope you find something that helps, I hated seeing my horses with the bites all over them!
Java is a silly girl, love how she piles all her toys up! Very cute!
Gnats are the absolute grossest! Well, ticks are a little grosser, and deer flies the most disturbingly persistent, but the way gnats drill a hole into you and chow down is really disgusting. Poor horsies! : /
we get bees here… DH got bucked off coupla years ago when a bee got in whistler’s proverbial bonnet..
sit down and ride

Ouch…so many bites! That is the cutest photo of Java!
Ah, I am an obsessive tuft puller, too! L is the only dog I have ever had who gets little tufts that must be pulled out. I catch myself following him around trying to snatch tufts of fur off his backside. I don’t think he appreciates it, but I can’t help myself!
